Steven Furtick, Jr. was born in Moncks Corner, North Carolina, on February 19, 1980. He served as a music director before becoming a gospel preacher.
Mr. Furtick established Elevation Church in 2006, which currently has 20 locations in the US.
He has written several books, including Unqualified: How God Uses Broken People to Do Big Things. Mr. Furtick wrote the book largely as a response to the accusations from other ministers and theologians who stated that he was “unqualified” to deliver sermons.
Some of the worship songs he has written have been nominated for the GMA Dove Awards. In 2020, The Blessing, a song in which Mr. Furtick has been credited as songwriter, won the GMA Dove’s Worship Recorded Song of the Year award.

Bethany Melaini Hamilton was born on February 8, 1990, in Lihue, Hawaii. She has a passion and talent for surfing.
In 2003, her left arm was bitten off by a shark. She survived the attack, and her story is a source of inspiration for many Christians.
Bethany Hamilton inspires people with her story of faith, courage, determination, and hope. She established a foundation known as Friends of Bethany. Through this organization, she reaches out to amputees and offers them a message of hope and the power to overcome any struggles through their faith.
